Brenda accepted Christ at the age of fourteen and was baptized at Morning Star Baptist church.  Upon reaching the age of eighteen, she decided to join Zion Baptist church which was her family’s home church.

Brenda later joined the Young Adult Choir and was an active member until the choir was dissolved.  She joined the Fountain Missionary Ministry where she is still active, and was a Deaconess of the church until she was called into the ministry in 2002.

She received her license to preach at Zion on June 21, 2006 and is now an Associate Minister. She attended Richmond Virginia Seminary, but has not yet completed her studies. She is the co-leader of the Prayer Ministry and the leader of the New Member’s Ministry.  She is also a member of the Drama Ministry and the Technology Ministry at Zion.

Brenda is a published writer of romance novels with an underlying Christian theme.  She ministers to other authors in the genre and has no problem sharing her faith.

Brenda is married to Deacon Tyrone Anderson and has two adult sons Christopher and Derrick.  She has a daughter-in-law, Heather and one granddaughter, Chloe.
