Weddings
The wedding ceremony is one of the most sacred rites of the church. It is the desire of the pastor and this church family to make every marriage ceremony a beautiful and worshipful experience. We extend to each party every possible courtesy and assistance.
Zion Baptist Church desires to offer the best possible service to its members and friends. To make our services available, we have procedures that have been adopted. We sincerely believe that these policies and arrangement procedures are most suitable and practical for all concerned.
Pre-martial counseling is required according to the Policy of Zion Baptist Church.
We will provide you with our Wedding Policy Manual which includes:
I. Weddings in Zion

Funerals
As Christians we believe that God in Christ has conquered death. Death brings separation and decisions that are painful, but our Christian faith and tradition enable us to witness to our faith as we make final arrangements for our loved ones. The church offers a ministry of love and hope to all who grieve. Although thankfulness and honor are to be expressed to God for the life and witness of the deceased, the focus of worship is upon God. Therefore, since the primary purpose of the service is the worship of God, any fraternal, civic, or military rites should be conducted separately. We will provide you with our Funeral Guidelines. Some of the contents include:
- In the event of death, what must I do
- Counseling
- If the funeral service is at Zion Baptist Church
- If the deceased is a member or immediate family of a member
- If the deceased is a non-member
There in no charge to members for the use of the sanctuary for funeral services.
